What Your First Session Looks Like at Intent Rehab & Performance
Your first session is where we play detective. We take the time to really hear your story — your previous medical history, pain points, symptoms, current training program, sleep, nutrition, and stress management — and how all of these impact your situation and goals.
From there, we’ll look at how you move as a whole, not just the injured area. We’ll assess your strength, range of motion (ROM), and run a few special tests to rule out any red flags.
Based on the combination of what you share and how you move, we’ll paint a clearer picture of what’s going on. You’ll leave understanding what’s driving your symptoms, what you can do about it, and how we can modify your current routine or training program to keep you progressing toward your goals.
We’ll then create a personalized plan — including frequency and duration of sessions — designed to help you reach those goals efficiently and safely. Your initial evaluation typically lasts 60 minutes, giving us the time to dive deep and set a solid foundation for your rehab and performance journey.
During this first visit, you’ll also get some hands-on work to relieve pain, improve ROM, and help you feel better right away. Then, we’ll give you targeted exercises built around your specific deficits and the underlying causes of your symptoms.
At Intent Rehab & Performance, we take the time to hear you, validate your concerns, and build a plan together. We find an entry point that allows you to start addressing the root issues while reintroducing movements and activities you once thought you couldn’t do.
As you progress, we’ll continually reassess and adjust your plan to keep you moving forward. Making real time adjustments in our 1 on 1 treatment model — ensuring every session builds toward your goals.
